Situated in the heart of the Adelaide Hills, Thiele House Retreat is a secluded 3 to 4 bedroom, 2 bathroom short stay escape, sleeping up to 10 people comfortably (4 people in partial house option).
A chilled bottle of Fizz on arrival and full breakfast provisions for the first morning, including, We have a beautiful courtyard with a table that seats 12 to 14 persons and the interior table seats 8 persons. We also have large lawned gardens by the creek.
An extensive breakfast is supplied for your first mornings stay with mushrooms and tomatoes, free range eggs, and baked beans, along with cheese, dips, water biscuits, artisan bread, butter, 2 litres of orange juice, 2 litres of milk and a bottle of La Prova Prosecco Sparkling Wine. The house has two wood burning fires with wood and kindling supplied and a Piano in the front lounge room. Thiele House has 3 to 4 bedrooms with king size beds and access to ensuites - and another room off the bedroom upstairs that has a double queen size bed and 2 single beds which is ideal to accommodate an extra 1 to 4 persons. Children under 3 years of age using cots - Free of charge. 1 Cot and 1 High Chair Supplied.

Thiele House Retreat is located on the outskirts of the Main Street of Hahndorf, the oldest surviving German settlement and just 20 minutes from the CBD of Adelaide, via the freeway. Australia's best wineries and cellar doors neighbour The Retreat with the likes of Landhaus Estate Wines, Sam Scott Wines, Somerled, Shaw & Smith & Nepenthe and many more, just minutes away from the Hahndorf Township, whilst taking time to relax and recharge.

The property has 5 buildings on site, two are cellar door outlets leased by us to Landhaus Estate Wines, the other to La Prova Wines. The old barn is The Blacksmiths Cafe and the double story building is an info-tec company. The accommodation is another separate building and was our old home, we now live in the office/apartment above the garages which is also a separate building. We state that we live on-site to discourage the property being used by those wishing to use accommodation for large parties, leaving the premises in a trashed state. All buildings are of stone construction, the oldest being built for the first couple of Germanic ancestory to be married in Australia. We are in the Main Street but the accommodation is 100metres down the driveway, very quiet and private. We do live next door to the old residence which all guests consider being an advantage as we keep the log fires burning and are close at hand for assistance. All guests over our15 years in business appreciate are proximity and I'm sure you would also do so - unless of course, you are planning a wild rave party!! If so - our place is not for you.

Rates and Property Layout.
All inclusive - up to 10 people, linen, cleaning, use of entire house, large enclosed courtyard and very large lawned back garden. Children under 3 years of age - free

Sunday to Thursday rate, $610 per night, for minimum of 2 night stay. Maximum of 6 persons. Extra cost applies for additional persons. Extra persons $150 per person for a minimum stay of 2 nights.
Weekend rate Friday & Saturday or Saturday & Sunday: $630 per night, 6 persons. Extra Queen size double bed and 2 extra single beds also available for 4 extra persons @ $100 per person for a minimum of 2 nights.

Long Weekends/Public Holidays, minimum 2 night stay.

Easter, minimum 2 night stay.

Christmas - minimum 3 night stay if any part of your stay falls during the following dates: 23rd Dec 2014 - 1st January.

New Year - minimum 3 night stay from 30th Dec - Jan 2nd.

Weekly Rate - 7 night stay $4,100 for 6 persons.
Extra Queen size double bed and 2 single beds allows for 4 additional people, @ $50 per person per night to cover linen, cleaning, water and power etc.
