A spacious bedroom with king size bed, a large ensuite bathroom with soaking tub for two, lounge, kitchen and dining area for your relaxation. We provide breakfast provisions. The space is joined to the main residence but completely separate with its own private entrance and off-road parking. We have a kitchenette and BBQ facilities and you can dine in the garden in a delightful setting under the trees.
Your hosts Yvonne and Peter are happy to assist with any information regarding Adelaide and the Hills and to have as little or as much interaction with guests as they require.
A short walk to the main street and you will find the Great Eastern hotel which is an old fashioned country pub offering great foor, genuine country hospitality and live music on the weekends. A bakery, supermarket. Asian and Indian restaurant, a large fruit and vegetable barn, and service stations.

Each Saturday morning at Mt Baker we have the Adelaide Hills Farmers Market and Stirling Markets on the 4th Sunday of the month, Woodside markets on the 3rd Saturday of the month and Meadows Markets is on the 2nd Sunday of the month.
We are surrounded by beautiful wineries just 20 minutes drive from the city the Adelaide Hills is closer to a capital city than any other wine region in the world. Just to mention a few we have Howard Winery, Bird in Hand, The Lane Vineyard, Petaluma Winery and most of the wineries have lunches on the weekend and are open for wine tastings all week. During January most cellar doors participate in the Crush Festival an annual celebration of Adelaide Hills food and wine. In July settle in by the fire at your favourite winery and enjoy the Winter Reds weekend.
It is only an hours drive to the world famous Barossa Valley and 2 hours to the Clare Valley and an hour to the Southern Vale Wineries and Langhorne Creek is an hour away. Spend the morning browsing the antique shops and enjoy a coffee in Strathalbyn.
A short drive away you will find the Birdwood Motor Museum which has over 400 cars on display, Melba’s Chocolate Factory and Woodside Cheese Wrights Cheese, Bird in Hand and Petaluma Winery at Woodside and the Giant Rockinghorse at Gumeracha.
Nearby Gawler Street Mt Barker have a wonderful Raw Food Café and beautiful coffee shops and café’s abound in the Adelaide Hills. Hahndorf a short drive away has amazing restaurants and one of our favourites is "The Haus".
For those who love the outdoors there is The Amy Gillet Bike Track which is 16 klms long where you can hire bikes from Bike About in Woodside. As you meander along this track you will pass through beautiful countryside and wineries and ride through the towns of Oakbank , Woodside, Charleston through to Mt Torrens. We also have many bushwalking tracks and entrances to the Heysen Trail.
Mt Lofty is not too far away and provides many walking trails.
Monato Zoo is a 30 minute drive, Cleland National Park and Mt Lofty Botanical Gardens are 20 minutes away.
There is a bus service from the city to Littlehampton and a bus service connecting the Adelaide Hills towns of Hahndorf, Mt Barker, Verdun, Woodside,Bridgewater, Aldgate, Stirling and Crafers. We can arrange airport pickups and trips to wineries. Please discuss this with your host Yvonne.
